Are You Full Of C.R.A.P.??

CRAP or constipation may be defined as infrequent or incomplete bowel movements that are often hard, dry and difficult to pass. Conventional medical realms may consider it “normal” to have a healthy bowel movement as infrequently as three times per week. In most holistic practices the normal range of bowel movements to be one to three per day.

Unfortunately due to the poor eating habits of Americans, toxins in our air, soils, and water, our transit time for food to digest and become excreted has slowed dramatically. In fact the average transit from food in the
mouth to waste out the other end takes an average of 72 hours. When waste transit time is slow, it decays and ferments producing poisonous chemicals that get reabsorbed into the body. This creates conditions for overgrowth of bad and putrefied bacteria that can have damaging effects on the entire body and increases
health problems.

Studies suggest that constipation may indirectly cause estrogen to be reabsorbed. Elevated estrogens can give
rise to various cancers. Colon cancer is highest in the U.S. as compared to the rest of the world.

Toxins created in the constipated bowel damage digestive enzymes that are vital for absorption of various nutrients. The walls of the colon may weaken and become herniated possibly creating diverticulosis.

Increased exposure to toxins in the colon will stress the gallbladder, pancreas and liver, and may increase gas formation and change in gas pressure, which can lead to esophageal damage from reflux (acid reflux disease). The average person carries a load of 2 – 25 pounds of excess waste/toxins in the colon.


The extra load of toxins creates an overall strain on the entire immune system making the person vulnerable to a host of chronic and ongoing illness.


Standard Medical Treatment:
Most mainstream allopathic views consider the cause of constipation to be merely a lack in fiber and commonly recommend the use of fiber supplements and an increase in dietary fiber. If you follow this standard advice, add bran fiber to your diet slowly, because adding bran fiber too rapidly can cause increased gas, bloating, and actually create constipation. The use of laxatives in the U.S. is astronomical. The overuse of laxatives is actually a cause of constipation. Habitual use interferes with normal reflex of the intestines, and leads to loss of important nutrients and water.


While lack of dietary fiber is generally agreed upon as a major cause of constipation, some published studies show that a significant number of constipated people do not find relief from fiber supplementation. Over consumption of caffeine inhibits water uptake in the colon, and therefore slows transit time of waste. Dehydration is one of the most overlooked causes of illness. Widespread use of over the counter and prescription drugs contributes to constipation. The most prescribed prescription medication is the “little purple pill” used to cover up our “gut” feelings. Impaired digestion is a beginning of a series of problems that ultimately lead to chronic disease and needs to be addressed as to the cause. Covering it all up has put
Americans at high risk of earlier onset of disease.

Dairy Of A Virgin Cleanser: Part 2

My friend Marcie came back for her second cleanse two days after her first. I always recommend that a client's first 3 cleanses, out of their series of 12-15, be as close together as possible. This is her honest & word for word account of her second cleanse.

When I went back in for my second cleanse I had none of the nerves that were present the first time around. I knew exactly what to expect, and I also knew how great I felt after, so I was excited to do this for the second time. I was skeptical about the amount of waste I'd see this time, especially since my first cleanse was only two days prior.
I hopped on the table & did the routine tube insert like a pro this time. I watched Char's relaxing/hypnosis video again just to relax even further. During this second cleanse there was a lot less pain, gas & discomfort than the first time. That had to be because I got rid of SO much gas during the first cleanse. Despite my assumptions, there was not a lack of waste. I was surprised by how much actually was released even though I had just cleansed.
After this second cleanse, I felt even better than after the first one! My stomach was not only noticeably flatter to me, but others made comments about it. I felt more "empty" less bloated, and had much more energy! I was and am, excited to keep up with the series!

Diary Of A Virgin Cleanser: Part 1

I had been trying to talk her into it for some time. She was nervous. It took a little while, but I convinced a friend/neighbor of mine, Marcie, to finally come in and get her first cleanse. After she agreed, I figured it would be an excellent opportunity to have her document her honest feelings, step by step, before, during and after every cleanse. A "diary" of sorts. She also thought it was a great idea! We will do this in parts, each part explaining her cleanses. The following is her account of her first cleanse!


Char had been offering for me to come in for awhile. I really wanted to try a cleanse. Ive always really wanted to try colon cleansing, but the whole "tube up your ass" scared me. Thats a no-go zone for me. As I started working out, eating right again, and became closer to Char, I started trusting her more and more. I was finally ready to take the leap and go for it. My first cleanse!
As I drove to A Gentle Cleanse I was nervous. Char had told me many times of the pencil thin, nothing tube, but still, the butterflies were there & flapping. When I arrived, still cautious, Char immediately made me feel relaxed. She took me to one of AGC's four cleansing rooms, and just seeing how clean everything was, started to calm me down. I dont know what I expected, shit covering the walls or something ridiculous like that? This place was sparkling and spotless! Then Char took me through the first steps to start my cleanse. She told me to undress from the waist down, put on a gown, and gave me instructions on how to insert the tube. AH, the dreaded tube! To my surprise, it indeed was a PENCIL thin tube! It was thinner than my pinky finger and you only insert it about an inch! With the rubber gloves and lube provided, getting the tube in there and settled was painless, clean, & nothing! Not only that but I had complete privacy! I then did as I was instruced & rang the bell for Char to come in and start the water.

Char explained that during your first cleanse, when the water starts to go through your intestines, everyone has a "deer in the headlights" look. Well, once again, she was spot on, because thats EXACTLY how I know I looked and I wasnt even looking in a mirror. The cleanse water always starts out cold, so imagine all of a sudden feeling a cold sensation throughout your entire stomach & back, but not having just drank any water. Weird right? At this point Char started her AGC relaxation video, told me to lie back and relax while watching the video and to ring the bell if I needed her for anything. Once again, I had total privacy and was alone.
Let me start by saying that I really enjoyed the video. It helped me relax 100% and gave me instructions on how to get the most from my cleanse, what to expect after my cleanse, and when to schedule another cleanse. As my colon & intestines became filled I had alot of gas pain and discomfort. I can best describe it as "the pain/cramps you feel right before you need to take a really big crap." As I followed the videos instructions and "released" I felt better. I would then allow it to build up again and release again. The more I followed this process, the better I felt.  I orginally told myself (and Char) that I would NOT be looking at the view tube to see what came out, however, it was like a train wreck. I didnt want to look, but, I just HAD to. For me it was alot of bubbles (gas) at first, and as the water continued to warm up, I released more waste.  It also helped alot to massage my lower belly during my cleanse, from right to left, as Char instructed. After about 30-40 minutes Char knocked and entered to instruct me on how remove the tube, rinse off, and finish up.  I did as she suggested and got dressed. It was over and I lived to tell about. Not only that, but I felt immediately lighter and amazing! Soon after my cleanse, on the drive home, I began to get tired. Char told me this was normal, especially after your first cleanse, because its like a workout. It wasnt an exhausted kind of tired for me. It was more of a relaxed, euphoric, type of tired. I loved it.
The next day I was 3lbs lighter and my skin was more hydrated and obviously less dry. Those were the two benefits I noticed first.  I also saw that my stomach was slightly flatter. I decided at that moment that I certainly would be cleansing again! I have committed to do the recommended set 12-15 cleanses and then move on to maintenance.

The Truth About Parasites

In life, we tend to pay a very high price for lack of knowledge. It can even cost us our most precious commodity, our health. We live in a highly toxic world, where what we eat and drink plays a more critical role in our health than ever before.

Our water is undrinkable, our food is rarely as healthy as we need and our air is polluted. Not only is our food poisoned with thousands of chemicals but also virtually devoid of any nutrients. We try to compensate for this lack by eating much larger quantities than would otherwise be necessary.

To make things worse, most of us don’t engage in regular physical activity and our stress load weighs us down like a ton of bricks.

Almost 1.5 billion Pounds of Pesticides are sprayed on wheat and vegetable crops in the U.S. each year. That’s more than five rounds for every person! According to experts. In most cities the water contains over 700 chemicals while 10.000 different chemicals are used in food processing and preservation.

The average American is exposed to 50.000 chemical agents in his lifetime and only a fraction of these have been studied for their effects on humans. There have been no studies at all showing the consequences of using these agents in varying combinations with each other. Living in such a toxic environment places our bodies under constant bombardment from every conceivable angle.More than scary: Every other American is chronically ill. 

In addition, each year the average American consumes 150 lbs of sugar and 566 cans of soft drinks (“liquid candy”). Junk food consumption has grown drastically in the last few decades Compared to 1981. In 2001 the average American consumed in one year: 45 large bags of Potato chips - up 78%: 120 orders of french fries - up 130%: 190 candy bars - up 80%: 120 pastries or desserts - up 95%: 150 slices of pizza- up 143%.

Fast and junk foods contain dangerous additives, chemicals, and many are laced with excitotoxins such as aspartame. (Excitotoxins are substances added to foods and beverages that literally stimulate neurons to death, causing brain damage of varying degrees.) Looking at these astonishing figures, the fact that every second person in the U.S. is chronically ill should come as no surprise.

According to the Partnership for Solutions, led by Johns Hopkins University and The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, more than 125 million Americans — nearly half of the population — have at least one chronic condition and 60 million have more than one condition. Examples of chronic conditions are cancer, heart disease, diabetes and glaucoma. Poor diet and physical inactivity have directly been related to 400,000 deaths in 2000. That is a 33% increase since 1990. Tobacco related deaths have increased by 9% in comparison. The study was released in March 2004 by the Federal Center for Disease Control and Prevention by Dr. Julie Gerbering. She also stated that, “Our worse fears were confirmed by predicting obesity related deaths will surpass tobacco if current trends continue.” The study listed the top killers that can be controlled as:

This study urged the secretary of Health and Human Services, Tommy Thompson, to begin a public service campaign with humorous ads telling Americans to begin a gradual lifestyle change. “We’re just too darn fat and we’re going to do something about it!” Thompson said at a press conference in April before releasing the
ads.

An increased consumption of fast-food, sedentary lifestyles, a decline in school physical education were sited by Thompson as factors contributing to the nations Fat problem. It is obvious and we have already really known that cigarettes, alcohol, poor quality food choices, and sitting around without exercise have made Americans sick and fat. And the solution seems simple…choose not to smoke, limit smoke exposure, choose to limit or eliminate alcoholic beverages, choose better foods, and choose to move your body with exercise! Simple, right?

Got Milk? Then Allergies, Mucus, & MORE!

Every time I see one of those white mustache ads adorned by a famous celebrity, I cannot help but think back to the ads that promoted smoking by famous stars such as Charlton Heston and James Dean. Didn’t advertising lie to us then? How can we believe such things now when we have so much more information and research available to us? Are we just gullible or maybe just lazy? Let’s take a look at what fifteen minutes on the internet did for my current knowledge base. I’m not referring to commercial sites with an agenda. I mean legitimate sites that provide research that is being performed by real scientists and universities.

According to the Academy of Allergy Asthma and Immunology, cow’s milk is the number one cause of food allergies. Former Director of Pediatrics at Johns Hopkins University, Dr. Frank Oski, has written that consuming dairy from cows leads to persistent health problems. He says, “The fact is: The drinking of cow’s milk has been linked to iron deficiency anemia in infants and children, and it has been named the cause of cramps, and diarrhea in much of the world population, and the cause of multiple forms of allergies as well.” Dr. Frank Oski believes that the persistent problems from cow’s milk consumption include: Coughs, sinus infections, asthma, ear infections, constipation, runny noses, upper respiratory infections, gas, eczema, and gastrointestinal (stomach) problems.

Dr. Sam Bahna & Douglas Heiner report in their book, Allergies to Milk, that milk may cause difficulty
breathing, especially during sleep. Noisy breathing is due to excess mucus in the throat. These researchers found that rather than taking unnecessary medications, such as decongestants, antibiotics, or cough syrup, relief can be found by the elimination of cow’s milk dairy from the diet.

Dr. Williams Ellis, who has studied the effects of dairy for more than 40 years, says that dairy is, “…simply no good for humans.” He finds that the excess mucus caused by dairy can harden and form a coating on the inner wall of the intestines, thus hindering absorption of nutrients.

Dr. Benjamin Spock spoke out against the feeding of cow’s milk to children, saying that it can cause anemia, allergies, and insulin dependent diabetes, which sets up for a life of obesity and heart disease.

Harvard’s ground breaking study,Nurses Health Study, of 78,000 nurses, suggests that dairy can actually cause osteoporosis and was linked to more bone fractures than in non-dairy participants. Summarizing this study, the Lunar Osteoporosis Update explains, “Increased hip fracture was associated with dairy calcium uptake. If this were any other agent other than milk, which has been so aggressively marketed by dairy interests, it undoubtedly would be considered a major risk factor.” The study concludes that animal protein actually leaches calcium from bones.

After 36 published studies, Yale University found that milk does not appear to prevent osteoporosis and, in
fact, may cause more bone fractures than non-dairy consumers.

So, what’s the deal with lactose? This is the inability to digest milk sugar lactose. 75% of the world’s human population loses the ability to digest lactose shortly after weaning from their mother’s milk. Humans are not genetically set up for the digestion of cow’s milk. Milk, and dairy products in general, contain no fiber or complex carbohydrates, and they are laden with saturated fat and cholesterol. It is also contaminated with cow’s blood and pus, and is frequently contaminated with pesticides, hormones and antibiotics, which you
absorb into your body.

Dairy consumption is known to be linked with: Allergies, constipation, obesity, heart disease, and other problems. Dairy consumption builds dairy producers profits, not your bones, and it may even harm them. Get educated, get informed, and get healthier!
